Adventures in Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas is not my favorite place to visit...but it does have some interesting exhibits and attractions, and some are even free! But before heading out, check several of the hotel websites, you may find that booking directly with the hotel will save you a few $$$. I also like calling the hotel after booking online just to ensure that they have my reservations correct.

I have recently enjoyed finding deals and even ratings from facebook friends on http://www.tripadvisor.com/ ...I also like http://www.kayak.com/ because they compare all booking sites and list the cheapest deal even if its not their own.

Some hotels will offer a cheap rate on eating at their buffets, like $35/per person all day, breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets for the entire day. You would pay that at some hotel buffets for one meal. Or check out the show deals as well like $75/per person for two shows. How about Carrot Top and Tournament of Kings? or Criss Angel Believe and the Australian Bee Gees show? Not a bad deal at all.

Or check out

http://www.vegas.com/attractions/freeattractions.html for the free attractions. Like the Fountains at the Bellagio, Freemont Experience or the Sirens of Treasure Island? or the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History for an educational experience? Each hotel has something to offer in the way of free attractions, its even fun just to visit the hotels themselves for their ambiance and decor.

Miranda wore her dessert

There are many places to dine in Vegas...some of our family favorites include Le Village Buffet at the Paris Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. So much to choose from ... including a crepe station.

Its a bit pricey, $30/person. But the food is so good. They serve different foods from around the world and provinces of France. They offered quite a bit of seafood, pastas, and even had a chef rolling fresh sushi. Love the dessert bar, could eat a half dozen of the creme brulee. Even my granddaughter who was 2 years old at the time, pigged out on their selections.

Another favorite place to dine is Harley Davidson Cafe on the strip. Yummy burgers!
